The activities of the Nigerian Popular Theatre Alliance (NPTA) include:

• Running of training workshops on Theatre for Development for NGOs, CBOs and other institutions interested in using the TFD techniques in their development work.
• Carrying out research into various development issues and problems.
• Holds seminars and workshops as part of its strategies to disseminate information on its research and training programmes.
  
• Publication of journals, newsletter and books on its research findings, project reports and outcomes, developments in the field of Theatre for Development.
  
• NPTA maintains and runs a resource library where information and materials on TFD, participatory development can be accessed. 
  
• Offers certificated courses in Community Development, Theatre for Development and Development Intervention Strategies for NGOs, CBOs, MDAs and other interests.
